Technical Safety BC has introduced new guidelines for licensed contractors. The updated terms will require licensed contractors to publish their business name and Technical Safety BC license number when advertising their services to the public.
While the regulations will come into effect on September 6, 2022, advertising media update deadlines will be rolled out in a three-phased approach:
- Phase 1 – Digital sales and marketing materials will need to be updated with your Technical Safety BC license number by January 1, 2023.
- Phase 2 – Non-digital or offline sales and marketing materials will need to be updated with your Technical Safety BC license number by September 30, 2023.
- Phase 3 – Assets such as vehicles and display cases will need to be updated with your Technical Safety BC license number by January 1, 2024.
To learn more, Technical Safety BC will be offering free information sessions to make sure this process goes as smoothly as possible. The session will take place on the following dates:
- August 17 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
- September 13 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- October 6 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
