King James – Member of Accenture Song, is currently looking for an SEO Specialist to work on a portfolio of various clients and brands. The successful candidate must have a good experience in the digital space and up-to-date knowledge in the SEO/Optimization/UX field of digital marketing. It is imperative that the successful candidate keeps abreast of all changes and growth in the industry by constantly reading and upgrading, as well as keeping all necessary qualifications/certifications current.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Develop SEO strategies and optimize sites to drive growth for a range of well-known clients
• Perform keyword research in coordination with client’s business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities for paid media
• Run with a content audit and provide content and keyword strategies
• Provide recommendations and execute content development strategies in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific (content strategy for client, optimization and content upload)
• Assist in the development and execution of communication/content strategies via social communities in coordination with SEO goals
• Research and implement search engine optimization audits
• Administer search engine programs (XML sitemaps, webmaster tools) for diagnostic reporting purposes on client projects
• Perform technical site audit (SEO) and recommendations to identify, plan and implement technical SEO recommendations for websites, including:
• Site architecture, page load speed and content optimization
• Site Migrations, Conversion Optimization and Redesigns
• Offsite SEO
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, links and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords and organic traffic
• Implement link building campaigns in coordination with client’s SEO goals
• Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across major search channels for monthly reports and recommendations
• Assist in the creation of pitch/client proposal
• Explain technical terminology and processes
• Competitor analysis and research
• Keep abreast of industry changes within the framework of industry best practices

Diploma / Experience / Skill:

• Relevant higher degree
• Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Keynote etc.)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an SEO specialist
• Experience in an advertising agency will be advantageous
• Experience with best practices, strategy and UX research
• Strong technical background in SEO and in-depth understanding of its place in the digital marketing portfolio
• Understand the fundamentals of web analytics
• Google Analytics/AdWords certified
• Knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager
• Knowledge of SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and Bright Local
• Good to have – HTML background
• Good to have – Mastery of Data Studio
• Good command of the English language (both oral and written)
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Strong time management skills
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and progress on multiple concurrent projects as well as share progress with your team
