Nimbus Aid project distributes ₦20m in advertising support


Nimbus Media Ltd today announced a call for applications for its Nimbus Aid Project. The project aims to support 10 women-led SMEs and pre-seed startups with ₦2 million worth of advertising each on Nimbus outdoor advertising screens across Nigeria.

Formerly called Nominate A Charity, the Nimbus Aid project has been supporting organizations making a significant impact in Nigerian communities with promotional materials since 2016. The project focuses on organizations and businesses providing economic opportunities and jobs this year.

Speaking during the call for applications, the company’s Managing Director and CEO, Olawale Adegoke, said, “With the current economic challenges facing SMEs and startups, it is understandable that they do not have resources for promotional campaigns. Therefore, we work with our partners to help these businesses grow.

According to Adegoke, each winner will receive ₦2 million advertising on Nimbus billboards across Nigeria. He added that the Nimbus Aid 2022 project is run in collaboration with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), TechCabal and Marketing Edge magazine. Along with a panel of judges, these partners will help select deserving recipients who will receive advertising support from Nimbus.

“Talking about the partnership, the Director of Strategy, Funding and Stakeholder Management, LSETF, Ms. Sheila Ojei, said: Partnerships like this give us the opportunity to support SMEs in Lagos. Giving them visibility on this platform will grow their business and increase their profitability. An increase in profitability means the ability to create jobs and contribute to the reduction of unemployment in Lagos State. We commend Nimbus for this initiative and are open to collaborations that can drive LSETF’s vision of creating more jobs for Lagos residents.

Also speaking, a representative from Big Cabal Media said, “Applications for the Nimbus Aid Project 2022 will run from September 21, 2022 and close on October 5, 2022. After the first call for applications, 20 finalists will be selected. among the first phase, and the 10 eventual winners will be chosen from a public vote to be announced later.

Regarding the eligibility of applications, applicants’ businesses must be registered businesses with viable businesses that have the potential to create jobs and economic opportunities.
